A-men is a social group for men aged 18 and over.
(The "A" can stand for - Adult, Antique, Amusing, Available - Anything you like.)
Our group is casual and relaxed - no membership requirements, no formalities. You can be single, married, partnered, divorced, or whatever. We are just here to meet and socialise with others.

The idea came to us when some of our Farmstay guests mentioned that they found it difficult to make friends in the area. A lot of these men had moved from interstate, often Melbourne or Sydney, and had resettled in South East Queensland and Northern NSW, where they found it hard to make social connections. Most of us would love to have a mate or two with whom to share a meal, go to a movie, check out the local markets or beaches.

It is not much fun doing these things by yourself, so this social get-together will give you an opportunity to meet other guys in a similar situation to yourself.

We hold a regular barbecue here at Tala, on the first Sunday of March, June, September and December, from 11am to around 4pm. The main course, salads, cake, tea and coffee, will all be provided for a cost of just $20 per head. Arrive here between 11am and 12 noon and please park on the nature strip. All you have to bring is your own esky with your own drinks, plus the idea to meet and mingle with others. Amuse yourself, and at least one other - you never know where it will lead.
